Chester County, Pennsylvania, was a very important station on the Underground Railroad for slaves and played a significant role in that Abolition Movement. We have formed an important and urgent new abolition movement in Chester County: the Chester County Religious Campaign Against Torture (CCRCAT), member of the National Religious Campaign Against Torture (NRCAT)

Torture is now our national policy, sanctioned by all government branches, and is embedded in our law, along with the accompanying elimination of the right of habeas corpus as one of the only effective tools to challenge indefinite detainment and torture.

We are devoting the rest of our lives to the abolition of torture practiced and/or sponsored by our government.
